Traditional Iron Thumblatch Set

Our traditional thumblatch sets have centuries of history to recommend to their use even on new construction. A couple of considerations will need to be taken into account before committing yourself to this style of door hardware.
First: For the latch to function, the door must be set flush with the surrounding trimwork, at least to the extent that will allow the strike and arm clearance to operate.
Second: The handle always mounted to the outside of an in-swinging door. This means that the occupants will see the view above-left, while those entering will see the handle.
